Proxy

The Proxy tab provides settings required to configure your endpoint clients to use Dynamic Edge Protection as a web proxy service.

Using Dynamic Edge Protection as an explicit proxy allows you to secure web traffic from any endpoint, applying your organization's policies to control web access, and provide comprehensive protection against web-based threats, wherever your users are.

Dynamic Edge Protection can be used as an explicit proxy service to protect HTTP and HTTPS traffic redirected to the service by endpoint clients.

Roaming users or users at remote offices (those connecting from a location other than one of your configured sites) are protected via the Forcepoint Web Security Endpoint client. The endpoint client redirects web traffic from end users' machines to the service using an explicit proxy connection and PAC (proxy auto-config) file. The client enforces PAC file settings on the end-user machine, ensuring that web browsing is protected. The client also identifies users to the service, allowing policies to be applied to users, and user activity to be logged.
