Step 2b: Create the USB installer on Windows

To use a Windows machine to create the RiskVision USB installer:
1.
Download the Win32 Disk Imager file (win32diskimager-binary.zip) from the following URL:
sourceforge.net/projects/win32diskimager/

Unzip the file to a directory on the Windows machine.
3.
Insert the USB flash drive into an available USB port on the Windows machine. If you are prompted to format the drive, click Cancel.
4.
Navigate to the folder containing the files you just unzipped, then use the Run as administrator command to run Win32DiskImager.exe.
5.
Select the drive letter assigned to the USB drive from the Device drop-down menu.
6.
Click on the folder icon and navigate to the directory containing the RiskVision USB image.
7.
In the Save as type field, select *.* to view all files in the directory, then select the RiskVision .img file and click Open.
8.
In the Win32 Disk Imager, click Write, then click Yes to confirm the operation. The write process can take several minutes.
When the write operation is complete, your USB installer is ready for use. Continue with Step 3: Reinstall TRITON RiskVision from a USB drive.
