Viewing statistics from the command line

You can use the command-line interface to view statistics about Content Gateway performance and Web traffic.
You can also configure, stop, and restart Content Gateway from the command line. See Command-line interface, and Websense Content Gateway variables.
To view specific information about a Content Gateway node or cluster, specify the variable that corresponds to the desired statistic.

From the Content Gateway bin directory (/opt/WCG/bin), enter the following command:
./content_line -r variable
where variable is the variable that holds the information you want. For a list of the variables you can specify, see Websense Content Gateway variables.
For example, the following command displays the document hit rate for the node:
content_line -r proxy.node.http.cache_hit_ratio
