|

Note the following when configuring log file downloads from the hybrid service.

The Have the hybrid service collect reporting data for the clients it filters option controls all hybrid log-related tasks for your account, including collection of log data, Sync Service retrieving data from the hybrid service, and Sync Service sending data to Log Server. When this option is disabled, log data is not saved for hybrid filtering users and Sync Service will not attempt to retrieve it. No information about these users' Internet activity will appear in reports.

The start and end times that you define for Sync Service to retrieve log data from the hybrid service are based on the time zone of your Sync Service machine. For example, you might have a TRITON management server, Policy Server, and Policy Broker set to Eastern Standard Time (EST), and your Sync Service machine on Pacific Standard Time (PST, 3 hours behind EST). In this case, setting the data retrieval time period to between 06.00 and 08.00 in TRITON - Web Security would mean that Sync Service downloads log files starting at 06.00 PST and ending at 08.00 PST. This equates to 09.00 and 11.00 EST.If you have a V-Series appliance configuration where Sync Service is installed off-box, it is recommended that Sync Service is as close as possible, geographically speaking, to your Policy Server. This ensures efficient communications.
