SQL Services must be running: After TRITON Infrastructure install ["Finish" button appears], ensure SQL services are running (SQL Server, SQL Server Browser).Go to Services utility. SQL Server Browser service is disabled by default: display properties, set manual or automatic, then start it. Then proceed with installation.

To reference SQL Server by IP address (preferred):Start > All Programs > Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 > Configuration Tool > SQL Configuration ManagerIn left panel, select SQL Server Network Configuration > Protocols and enable TCP/IP. Restart SQL Server. Access firewall on Server Manager panel. On Windows Firewall with Advanced Security Properties, notice 4 tabs – modify first 3.On each tab, notice drop-down where you can select Off – before selecting Off, notice 2 text fields that allow you to select Allow or Block – set both settings to Allow, then turn the firewall state to Off.
