Websense Web Security SSL Certificates : Accepting a security certificate

When Websense Web Security software is deployed, administrators or end users may see a certificate error in their browser when:

An administrator access TRITON - Web Security from a particular browser on a particular machine

(Internet Explorer 7 and 8) There is a problem with this website's security certificate.

(Firefox 3) Security Connection FailedTo avoid seeing this error again, install or permanently accept the certificate on each affected browser for each affected administrator or user.The first time an administrator uses Internet Explorer to launch TRITON - Web Security on a given machine, a link on the logon page provides the option of installing the certificate automatically. If you want to use this option, click the install the certificate link. Next, click Install Certificate, and then click Yes. If the browser pops up a yellow security warning bar, click the yellow bar to allow the program that installs the certificate to run.You can also install the certificate manually, whether you are installing the TRITON - Web Security certificate, or the certificate used for secure manual authentication. To do this:
1. On the Certificate Error page ("There is a problem with this website's security certificate"), click Continue to this website (not recommended). The logon page is displayed. A red error is displayed on the browser's address bar.

3. In the Certificate dialog box, click Install Certificate.

7. When prompted to install the certificate, click Yes, and then click OK to close the success message .Once the certificate is installed, you can launch the TRITON Unified Security Center using this browser without receiving further errors.

2. Click Add Exception.
3. Make sure that Permanently store this exception is selected, and then click Confirm Security Exception.Once the certificate is installed, you can launch the TRITON Unified Security Center using this browser without receiving further errors.
