Installing the TRITON Manager
The TRITON management server is the Windows machine that hosts the TRITON Manager, the management and reporting console for your web, data, and email protection solutions.
Additional, optional components can also run on the machine.
The TRITON management server is created by installing these components on a suitable machine (see System requirements for this version).
The management server serves as the central point for management, configuration, and reporting.

Important 
TRITON modules and components can communicate with only one management server. For this reason, there is typically one management server per deployment.
Installing the TRITON Manager
1.
Log on to the installation machine with an account having domain and local administrator privileges.

Important 
If you are installing data protection components, do not change this account after installation. Be sure it's a dedicated account that you want installed services to use when interacting with the operating system—the service account. If you must change the account, contact Technical Support first.
2.
Double-click the installer file to launch the TRITON Setup program.
A progress dialog box appears, as files are extracted.
3.
On the Welcome screen, click Start.
4.
On the Subscription Agreement screen, select I accept this agreement and then click Next.
5.
On the Installation Type screen, select TRITON Manager and the modules you want to install (Web, Data, or Email).
See the following table for information about which modules you should select for installation.

Note: If your subscription includes a combination of these solutions, install all of the modules required by them. For example, if your subscription includes TRITON AP-WEB with the Web DLP module and TRITON AP-EMAIL, install all 3 TRITON Manager modules.

Important 
To install the Web module of the TRITON Manager, an instance of Policy Broker and Policy Server must be already installed and running (see Installing components via the Custom option). You are prompted for the Policy Server IP address during console installation.
In appliance-based deployments, Policy Broker and Policy Server reside on the full policy source appliance.
When you select the Email option, the Data option is also selected automatically. Data components are required for Email DLP module features.

Important 
To install the Email module of the TRITON Manager, an Email mode appliance must already be running. You will need to provide the appliance C interface IP address during console installation.
The appliance E1 (and E2, if used) interface must also be configured in the Appliance manager before you install the Email module of the TRITON Manager.

If you selected TRITON AP-DATA but not TRITON AP-EMAIL, you are asked if you want to use the TRITON AP-DATA Email Gateway virtual appliance to provide DLP for cloud-based email applications such as Microsoft Exchange Online. If so, select Install Email Gateway virtual appliance on-premises management component.
The Email Gateway component is installed after TRITON AP-DATA installation is complete.

Important 
You cannot install the Email Gateway and TRITON AP-EMAIL on the same TRITON management server.
7.
On the Summary screen, click Next to continue the installation.
8.
TRITON Infrastructure Setup launches.
Follow the instructions in Installing TRITON Infrastructure.
9.
When you click Finish in TRITON Infrastructure Setup, component installers for each module selected in the Module Selection screen (Step 5) are launched in succession.
Only the component installers for the modules you selected are launched. For example, if you select only Web and Data modules, the Email module installer is not launched.
10.
Complete the following procedures for the modules you have selected. For each module, a component installer will launch. The component installers launch in the order shown here.
