Upgrading more than one TRITON solution
Deployment and Installation Center | Web, Data, and Email Protection | v8.0.x
If you have more than one Websense TRITON advanced protection solution, use the sections below to find the appropriate set of installation instructions.
Websense TRITON solutions must be at least version 7.8.0 to upgrade to v8.0.x.

Important 
V-Series appliance users:
Some older V10000 and V5000 appliances are not supported with version 8.0.0 and higher.

Websense TRITON Enterprise
For step-by-step instructions on upgrading from version 7.8.x, see the following guide:

Web and data protection
If you are combining TRITON AP-WEB and TRITON AP-DATA, in most cases, the best process is to first complete the steps in Upgrade Instructions: TRITON AP-WEB. This document guides you through upgrading:

All TRITON AP-WEB components
*
The TRITON management server (which includes most TRITON AP-DATA components)
After completing those steps, see Upgrading from v7.8.x to v8.0.x for instructions on upgrading additional TRITON AP-DATA components, like the protector and agents.
If you have upgraded to v8.0.0 and you use or plan to use any of the following file types, apply Content Gateway v8.0 Hotfix 1 after all the upgrade steps are complete. If you do not, files of these types won't be detected by Content Gateway.

To obtain the hotfix, visit MyWebsense.com, select TRITON AP-WEB v8.0, and then select "v8.0.0 HF 01 WCG Failed to Detect AP-DATA File Types."
Web and email protection
If you are combining TRITON AP-WEB and TRITON AP-EMAIL, in most cases, the best process is to follow the steps in the Websense TRITON Enterprise Upgrade Guide. This document guides you through upgrading:

The TRITON management server, which includes Web DLP module and Email DLP module components (if subscribed)
Email and data protection
If you are combining an TRITON AP-DATA and TRITON AP-EMAIL, in most cases, the best process is to follow the steps for Upgrading Email Security Gateway v7.7.x to v7.8.x. This document guides you through upgrading:
