Installing the license and setting the time
Deployment and Installation Center | Data Security Solutions | Version 7.7.x
You received your license number as part of the ESXi download.
1.
Start the VI Client by selecting Start > Programs > VMware > VMware Infrastructure Client.
2.
Connect to your ESXi server using the IP address you set up during configuration. For user credentials, enter the user name root and the password that you set up for the root account.
3.
On the Configuration tab, select Licensed Features.
4.
To the right of the License Source label, click the edit link.
5.
Select Use Serial Number, and enter your license number in the field provided. Then click OK.
6.
On the Configuration tab, select Time Configuration.
7.
Select Properties, and then set your server's time. Click OK when done.
