Backing up encryption keys

Related topics:
When TRITON AP-DATA is installed, it includes one default encryption key for use with endpoint profiles. Forcepoint recommends that you back up this key, and any subsequent keys that you create, to an external file. If there is a system crash, you can restore any files that were encrypted on endpoints using these keys.
To back up encryption keys:
1.
Select Settings > Deployment > Endpoint Profiles.
2.
Click the down arrow next to Encryption Keys, then click Backup. A pop-up window appears.
3.
Click Backup in the pop-up window.
4.
5.
Click Save.
6.
Click Close.
The file is saved in a Forcepoint-proprietary format. You cannot edit it.
