In this configuration, Network Agent is a software component used to monitor all Internet traffic, report on bandwidth usage, and send blocking information for protocols other than HTTP and HTTPS. Blocking information is sent on interface C.Note that Network Agent, if used, always resides on the security blade in slot 16 (or off the chassis).Network Agent continually monitors overall network usage, including bytes transferred over the network. The agent sends usage summaries to other Websense software at predefined intervals.Network Agent is typically configured to see both inbound and outbound traffic in your network. The agent distinguishes between:
