On November 1, for the second year in a row, we were listed in the InformationWeek 500, which is an annual listing of the nation’s most innovative users of business technology. Websense moved into the top 200 this year, as we were once again recognized for ongoing innovation and improvement of the Websense customer experience. Click here to read the press release.

UK, Ireland & Africa Partners are ramped up and raring to go!
In the UK the channel team run update webcasts for partners three times a year. In May we had 52 people join us when the focus was on TRITON; this time, on the 1st November, we had 55 attendees (from 97 registrations) and we concentrated on ESGA.
Ross Baker hosted the webcast and Jonny Wilkinson joined in live from San Diego, explaining the market opportunity for email security, how to pick the right battles, examples of how we’re winning, and the traits of top performing channel sales reps.
Following Jonny, Ross continued the ‘maximise the opportunity value’ theme by talking through a recent deal where a WSG & HES DTE worth $88K was upgraded to TRITON Enterprise with a value of $180K. Kerrrr-ching!! We also reminded the audience about the value of using sales tools such as competitive info and white papers that we provide in the partner portal.
We finished off the webcast with an update on the recent v7.6.1 and 7.6.2 product enhancements, news of the Facebook partnership, the deal registration process and finally, how to respond to the Blue Coat announcement.
For 2012 we are planning on holding these webcast every other month, starting in February when we have all the post-kick off information to pass on as we are seeing much better engagement following each of these sessions. Little and often is the way forward with our partners!

Infosecurity Netherlands
The Benelux team executed a successful Infosecurity Tradeshow in the Netherlands in early November. The 4 security themes presented (social media, mobile, proxy and DLP) attracted great interest and created interesting discussions with customers and prospects. The SE team showcased live TRITON demos and performed live competitive tests to highlight how we are leading in the security market. In addition, the renown Websense security smoothies were served in the tastes and colors of our web (blueberry & pear), data (kiwi & banana) and email (strawberry & raspberry) solutions. The team was able to bring in 166 leads which converted into 11 opportunities with over 800K in pipeline to date. Follow-up currently in progress.

Guru on the Go
“Guru on the Go” is a fantastic asset that we should be taking advantage of as a team. Though these webinars are produced for Sales, many topics are directly related to Websense Marketing.
“Websense Point of View (POV)”
The Websense Point of View (POV), an 8-minute graphic “whiteboard” sales pitch, is available for you to use in communicating a consistent and powerful story about Websense value, differentiation and leadership. Take immediate advantage of the POV to differentiate against Blue Coat and our other competitors this quarter as we drive towards a successful year-end.
Websense POV Toolkit is available on the content portal at this link.
You can access recordings of past Gurus at the Sales Operations area on the content portal.
