Overview

With Websense Web Security solutions, blank reports typically result from external issues. These can include changes to SQL permissions and SQL account passwords, as well as network connectivity or disk space problems. We will look at several real-life scenarios encountered in actual customer networks, and then give a live demonstration of how to resolve each issue.

In this Webinar, we will explore:

  • Verifying database connections
  • Verifying that Microsoft SQL Server is receiving logging data
  • Understanding the required SQL Server permissions
  • Running queries against the database
  • Creating a new database from the command line
  • Understanding where to look for logging errors
  • Outlining best tips and practices for database management

After this Webinar, you will understand the Websense Web Security logging process, and be able to quickly identify and resolve blank reports issues.

This presentation adds to the topic presented in September’s Webinar titled: Installing, upgrading, and managing reporting databases for Websense Web Security v7.6.
