Documentation Overview

Websense transparent identification agents can be used to identify users who log on to a supported directory service without prompting them for logon information. This is important if you want to apply policies to users, groups, and domains (organizational units) defined in your directory service, but you have not integrated Websense software with a product that provides user information for use in filtering.

This paper describes the 4 Websense transparent identification agents: DC Agent, Logon Agent, eDirectory Agent, and RADIUS Agent. It includes detailed information about the initialization and configuration files that can be used to customize transparent identification agent behavior, answers to frequently asked questions, and troubleshooting steps.
