Websense offers qualified customers the opportunity to evaluate Websense Data Security Suite, the leading data loss prevention (DLP) solution, designed to discover, monitor, and protect your confidential information.
The Websense Data Security Suite evaluation is offered for up to 30 days, and is designed to demonstrate three sets of functionality:
- Data discovery and classification
- Data monitoring and policy configuration
- Data protection and incident remediation
Websense will work with you to create a clear definition of the business and technical requirements, an agreed upon set of test criteria, and a comprehensive analysis of findings. Throughout your evaluation, you will receive expert, hands-on guidance from the Websense team to help ensure your project requirements are met.

Terms and Conditions Evaluation of Websense Data Security Suite requires resources from both Websense and the evaluating organization. Websense has defined the terms and requirements below in the interests of both parties:
- An evaluating organization must have a pending DLP project and defined budget within the calendar year that aligns to the purchase of Websense Data Security Suite.
- An evaluating organization must follow standards for the Websense Data Security Suite evaluation process, as defined by the customer and Websense.
- The evaluation must target completion within 30 days; longer duration evaluations require executive approval.
- The evaluation installation will be scheduled at a day and time convenient to both Websense and the customer.
- The customer must provide supporting resources, in a timely manner, as those resources are deemed necessary for the purpose of the evaluation. Those resources are to be determined by Websense.
- Unless specifically requested and specified in the pre-evaluation documentation or project plan, Websense is not responsible for providing hardware for the assessment.
- The customer does not obtain any ownership rights to any hardware or software provided by Websense in the course of an evaluation.
- Websense may involve a third-party solution provider to fulfill the evaluation, either in part or in full.
- Websense does not guarantee the results of the evaluation and in no way does the evaluation constitute a certification of any kind.
- Websense is not responsible for any customer costs incurred as part of an evaluation, including liability for any damages (i.e., Customer assumes all risk. Websense is merely lending its software and services to support the customer in an evaluation project.).
- Websense may limit the scope of any evaluation as it deems necessary.
- Websense reserves the right to discontinue or refuse an evaluation if the above conditions are not met, or if Websense determines that providing the service may not be in the best interest of Websense.
