DEFINITION

Malware is malicious software designed to damage or disrupt computers, applications, and networks. If allowed to enter a computer, malware can cause serious damage to a computer or network and place sensitive information at risk. Examples of malware include: Trojan horses, spyware, adware, viruses, worms, and malicious mobile code.
