Brenda Santos is a security strategist for Websense, Inc. Santos is responsible for providing strategic security expertise and services to CSOs, CIOs and CISOs. With 20 years of experience in the IT infrastructure and information security industries, she counsels global security teams on best practices to prevent advanced attacks and data theft.
Prior to Websense, Santos served as the director of information security and compliance at Zale Corporation, a leading international specialty retailer. During her tenure, Santos implemented information security programs, executed the design and documentation for the SOX controls and designed security strategies to ensure compliance. She also previously held several IT positions at Brinker International, a world-leading casual dining company, including director of technical services.
Santos is Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certified.
EMEA Information Security and Strategy Officer
Neil Thacker joined Websense in 2012 and holds the position of EMEA information security and strategy officer.
In this role, Thacker offers advice and recommendations to the security community around their security posture, business processes and the application of security technologies. Working closely with the Websense Security Labs team to understand the threat landscape, he offers organisations advice on how to apply the appropriate level of control to maintain security effectiveness against the latest threats.
Thacker joins Websense with over 10 years' information security experience with 6 years' experience working in financial services at Deutsche Bank and Swiss Re. He later spent 6 years at Camelot, the operator of the UK National Lottery, working as a senior security analyst, where he led the security operations team.
He is CISSP, CEH and OPST certified and is recognised as a thought-leading security practitioner who is passionate about countering the threat from the bad and ugly.
Security Architecture & Strategy Officer
James Robinson is chief security architect at Websense, Inc. Robinson is responsible for internal security strategy development, innovation, and implementation. He brings more than a decade of IT and product engineering security leadership to Websense. He has previously held leadership positions with Fortune 150 and Fortune 100 companies including Emerson Electric, Anheuser-Busch and State Farm Insurance. Throughout his career, Robinson has delivered solutions for network architecture and application security, penetration testing, incident response, security and risk assessment, forensics and investigations and product security.
Sr. Technical Programs Manager
Max Grossling is the senior technical programs manager for Websense, Inc. With more than 20 years' of technical and management experience, he is responsible for providing critical counsel to enterprise security teams throughout North America.
Previously, Grossling served as director of information security operations at EverBank, one of the nation's largest privately-held bank holding companies. During his 14-year tenure, he directed and designed the infrastructural security architecture, oversaw policy implementation, and drove security strategy.
Grossling is also a former master sergeant for the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve. In his last assignment, he served as data chief in the network operations center at the United States Central Command, which supported combat operations in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Information Security and
Lamont Orange is the information security and strategy officer for Websense, Inc. In this role, Orange is responsible for developing, maintaining and socializing the company's internal security program. He also serves as a trusted security resource for Websense customers worldwide.
Orange has more than 15 years of experience in the information security industry. For more than 10 years, Orange was vice president of enterprise security for Charter Communications. During his tenure, he was responsible for safeguarding enterprise information, computing assets, intellectual property and customer privacy, while providing data retention and compliance oversight.
Prior to Charter Communications, Orange served as senior manager for security and technology services at Ernst & Young. As the information security senior manager, he directed technical infrastructure diagnostics, and oversaw the assessment, design and implementation of security and information technology solutions.
Orange received his bachelor's degree in computer science from the Missouri University of Science and Technology in Rolla, Missouri.
Vice President of Information Technology
Dave Baker is the vice president of information technology at Websense. With more than 15 years of senior IT leadership experience, Baker is responsible for overseeing internal IT business systems and infrastructure. His team also tests the latest Websense products in a real world environment—while keeping 1,442 employees connected in 25 offices worldwide.
In 2011, San Diego Magazine recognized Baker as a Top Tech Exec for his overall leadership, assistance in developing and testing Websense's revolutionary TRITON Content Security Solution, while also spearheading more than 75 recent projects. His projects included implementing several critical Websense business intelligence capabilities, which integrated multiple departments, improved sales communication, and increased visibility into Websense's customers and profitability.
Prior to Websense, he held senior management positions with Qualcomm and Gateway. Baker earned a Bachelors of Science in Materials Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles.
