Configuring RADIUS Agent
Websense RADIUS Agent lets you apply user and group-based policies using authentication provided by a RADIUS server. RADIUS Agent enables transparent identification of users who access your network using a dial-up, Virtual Private Network (VPN), Digital Subscriber Line (DSL), or other remote connection (depending on your configuration).
RADIUS Agent works together with the RADIUS server and RADIUS client in your network to process and track Remote Access Dial-In User Service (RADIUS) protocol traffic. This enables you to assign particular policies to users or groups that access your network remotely, as well as to local users.
When you install RADIUS Agent, the agent integrates with existing Websense components. However, RADIUS Agent, your RADIUS server, and your RADIUS client must be configured appropriately (see Configuring RADIUS Agent).
