Version 7.8 is a major release of Websense TRITON Enterprise. It offers significant enhancements across the Websense product line, as well as important corrections to issues reported by customers.
Deployment
Installation for Websense TRITON Enterprise and the modules in your subscription is performed with a single installer for the TRITON infrastructure and reporting database. From this installer you can launch the installation of the individual TRITON modules, as required.
Sites using Web Security, Data Security, and Email Security versions 7.7.0 and later can upgrade directly to v7.8 using the installer. For version 7.6.x, you must first upgrade to version 7.7.2 before installing version 7.8.

Secured by RSA® authentication for administrators
The TRITON console now supports RSA SecurID® authentication as a form of two-factor authentication.
Enable RSA SecurID authentication for the TRITON console on the TRITON Settings > Two-Factor Authentication page. (This page replaces the TRITON Settings > Certificate Authentication page.)
If you choose to enable RSA SecurID authentication:

You must be running RSA Authentication Manager 6.1.2 or higher.
*
Ensure only one NIC is configured and enabled on your TRITON Management Server.
*
You must first create a custom agent for TRITON Unified Security Center in your RSA Authentication Manager (see the TRITON Unified Security Center Help for more information).
*
Certificate authentication is automatically disabled. If you have previously enabled certificate authentication and then enable RSA SecurID authentication, a warning message appears.
When either form of two-factor authentication is enabled for the TRITON console, it can also be enabled for Content Gateway Manager and Appliance Manager, to grant administrators single sign-on access to all three management consoles.
When RSA SecurID authentication is enabled, TRITON console password authentication:

Can be enabled as a backup method, in case RSA SecurID authentication is unavailable
*
Is always available in one specific scenario: when an administrator uses the default admin account to log on to the TRITON console from the TRITON management server machine
*
Can be disabled entirely, except for the scenario above
