Installing TRITON AP-DATA components

You use the same TRITON installer to install most TRITON AP-DATA components as you do to install the TRITON Manager and TRITON infrastructure.

If you plan to install a TRITON AP-DATA component, the TRITON components must already be installed in your network along with the TRITON management server software. See Creating a TRITON Management Server.


	Important If you plan to install TRITON AP-EMAIL, you must install TRITON AP-DATA in order to access and configure email DLP functions in the Data module.

To install an additional TRITON AP-DATA component:

Launch the TRITON installer on the appropriate machine.

Choose the Custom installation type.

Click the Install link for TRITON AP-DATA.

Select the agent to install when prompted to select a component.

Not all TRITON AP-DATA components may show in the Select Components screen. The components that are offered depends on the operating system of the machine and applications detected by the installer.

The Crawler Agent: scans networks transparently to locate confidential documents and data on endpoints, laptops and servers. It also performs fingerprinting, and scans databases as well as documents.
