Upgrading the TRITON management server
Deployment and Installation Center | Web, Data, and Email Protection | v8.1.x
To upgrade TRITON management server components, use the v8.1.0 Websense TRITON Setup program (Windows only): WebsenseTRITON81xSetup.exe,

Select your product, version (8.1.0), and operating system (Windows), then click download next to the installer description.

Log on to the installation machine with an account having domain and local administrator privileges.

Right-click WebsenseTRITON81xSetup.exe and select Run as administrator to launch the installer. A progress dialog box appears, as files are extracted.
When you launch the installer, it detects that earlier versions of the product are installed, and automatically starts a series of upgrade wizards—one for each of the modules included on the management server.

TRITON Infrastructure
The TRITON infrastructure provides basic framework for all of the management components that make up TRITON Manager (console). This framework includes a central settings database that stores shared configuration (such as administrator directory and account information) for all management modules, as well as other internal shared services.
The infrastructure upgrade wizard contains the following screens.
1.
Click Next to begin the upgrade process. The system checks disk space requirements.
2.
When prompted, click Next to launch the installation wizard.
Click Next to accept the properties.
Click Finish to complete the upgrade for this module.
Web protection
The web protection upgrade wizard contains the following screens.
1.
Click Next to start the upgrade.
2.
Click Install to continue.
Data protection
The TRITON AP-DATA upgrade wizard contains the following screens.
Verify your system settings and click Install to continue the upgrade.
1.
Click Done and you're prompted to update your predefined policies and content classifiers.
2.
Click OK to install the updates. You're shown the status of the updates, the items being updated, and details such as how many policies are updated, deleted, or added.
3.
Click Close when the updates are complete.
Email protection
The TRITON AP-EMAIL upgrade wizard contains the following screens.
Click Install to begin the upgrade.

Click Deploy.

If you are upgrading AP-EMAIL, navigate to the Settings > General > Database Downloads page. Click Update Now to perform an immediate database download update.
