Forcepoint appliances cannot be upgraded directly from v8.0.x to v8.4.0. To upgrade from v8.0.x to v8.4.0, use the v8.3 upgrade guide to upgrade from v8.0.x to v8.3.0, and then use the V Series, X Series, and Virtual Appliance Upgrade Guide to upgrade from v8.3.0 to v8.4.0.

When upgrading from v8.0.0 or v8.0.1 to v8.4.x, in order to retain SNMP configuration, you must install two hotfixes while the appliance is still running version 8.3. Hotfix files are available in the Appliance v8.3.0 section of the Forcepoint Downloads page.
